‘No Deductions’ FAQs

Law firms commonly deduct a ‘success fee’ from your entitled compensation, which can sometimes be up to 25% of the sum. At Barrett and Co, we won’t deduct anything from your final compensation amount, as well as representing you at no cost due to our ‘No Deductions’ service.

Most solicitors will charge a success fee to cover their time as well as the legal costs. They are allowed to charge a maximum of 25% of your compensation. Typically they use this amount to pay a company who market their services known as a Claims Management Company.

Here at Barrett and Co Solicitors, we do not work with Claims Management Companies and we do not charge a fee of your compensation.

Solicitors who operate a ‘No Win, No Fee’ arrangement take a success fee of up to 25% as a standard rate.

For example, if you’re awarded £10,000 in compensation, then your solicitor will get £2,500 if their success fee is at 25%. Leaving you with £7,500. At Barrett and Co Solicitors we believe you should keep £10,000 of your compensation.

Many solicitors who run a ‘No Win, No Fee’ service pay large sums for marketing their service. To recoup the money back and turn a profit, that money comes from success fees.

Here at Barrett and Co, we don’t do this. Instead of this we prioritise our clients and make sure you receive the full amount of compensation you’re entitled to.

Also, to put it simply, we won’t get paid if your case isn’t successful. We charge our solicitor fees and legal costs to the at-fault party.
